High protein diet:-

High protein diet is a type of diet that is followed by the people who are struggling to lose weight. This is because high protein in the food increases satiety which in turn decreases the calorie intake thus helping to lose weight. A small amount of carbohydrate and large quantities of protein are included in this type of diet. 

The foods that are consumed in this type of diet include eggs, beans, legumes, dairy product, meat, fish and veggies rich in protein. 


 Mentioned below are some excellent protein sources that are suitable for including in the diet plans:-

Chicken breasts
Lean cut of beef
Eggs
Shrimp
Turkey breasts
Fish
Nuts and seeds e.g. peanuts, almonds and pumpkin seeds
Beans
Lentils
Chickpeas
Quinoa
Sprouted grain bread
Plant protein shakes
Dairy products such as cow’s milk, Greek yogurt and cheese
Oats

Low residue diet:- 
 
A low residue diet is a low-fiber diet with added restrictions that is
designed to reduce the amount of stool in the large intestine.
Low residue diets may be prescribed during flares of inflammatory
 bowel disease (Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis) before or after
 bowel surgery, when tumours or narrowing of the intestine exist,
diverticulitis or for other conditions.
 Examples of foods to be included in low-residue diet:
 White breads with no nuts or seeds
 White rice
 Well cooked vegetables without skin or seeds
 Fresh fruit like bananas, cantaloupe, honeydew, and watermelon
 Eggs
 Fish
 Poultry
 Dairy products.


 
Foods to be avoided:-
 
Foods and drinks that should be avoided, for example:
 Fruit juices like prune juice
 Bran cereals
 Legumes
 Corn
 Leafy vegetables
 Popcorn
 Cheese
Those on a low residue diet need to avoid foods high in fiber and
whole grains and foods that contain nuts or seeds.
 


 
 High residue diet:-
 
A high-residue diet includes high-fiber foods and is commonly
prescribed to treat digestive issues such as constipation.

High fiber foods to be included in high residue diet are as follow:
Fruits including bananas, oranges, apples, mangoes, strawberries,
raspberries
Vegetables
Beans & legumes
Breads & grains
Nuts
