 cvd-:

 CARDIO VASCULAR DISEASE

DEFINITION;-

CVD cardio vascular disease is a general term for conditions affecting the heart or blood vessels. its usually associated with a build up of fatty deposits inside the arteries (artherosclerosis) and an increased risk of blood clots.
Cvd is the no#1 cause of death in the world .it ends up 125 lives everyday.
(like 1 life in 12 minutes).

Disorders of hearts and blood vessels due to CVD:-

Coronary heart disease:- a disease of the blood vessels supplying the heart muscles due to thrombosis and clots
Cerebrovascular disease:- a disease of blood supplying the brain
Peripheral arterial disease:- a disease of blood vessels supplying the arms and legs.
Rheumatic heart disease:- damage to the heart muscles and heart valves from rheumatic fever ,caused by streptococcal bacteria.
Congenital heart disease:-

Birth defects that affect the normal development  and functioning of the heart caused by malformations of the heart structure from birth.

Deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism:-

Blood cots in the leg veins, which can dislodge and move to heart and lungs.

Types of CVD:-

Coronary Artery Disease or CAD:-

CAD is the most common form of  heart disease . A hardening or narrowing of the arteries that lead to the heart characterizes this condition.

Heart Atack or Myocardial infraction:-

unfortunately, for many peoples, a heart attack may be the first symptoms of heart disease. A heart attack happens when the arteries leading to the heart become blocked ,disupting blood flow.

Heart Failure or known as congestive heart failure:-

This cnditions is occurs when stiffness in the heart prevents the organ from pumping blood adequately through the body.
Heart Valve Disease:-valve disease happens when any of the four valves in the heart don’t open or close properly and interupt blood flow. If the deffect in the valve happens at birth, its called congenital heart disease.
 Heart Muscles Disease or Cardiomyopathy:-

This condition can lead to heart failure. It occurs when the heart muscle becomes larger and stiffens, preventing it from pumping blood away from the heart.

Abnormal Heart Rhythms or Arrhythmia:-

This condition causes a fluctuations in the heartbeat that happens while at rest. if untreated, arrythmia can be life threatning.

Symptoms of CVD:-

Chest pain and chest tightness.
Chest pressure and chest Discomfort.
Shortness of Breath.
Pain in the neck , jaw ,throat , upper belly areas or back.
Pain ,numbness, weakness or coldness in the legs or arms if the blood vessels  in those body areas are narrowed.
Fattigue ,dizziness and nausea.

Risk Factors and causes of CVD:-

Lack of exercise.
Stress and high blood pressure.
High cholestrol level.
Diabetes and unhealthy diets
Smoking and alcohol consumption.
Physical inactivity
overweight.
Genetics ( it means it also inherited from your parents).

Preventions to control CVD:-

Living a healthy lifestyle.
Avoid smoking.
Eating a balanced food diet.
Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Exercise regularly (like 30 min walk or exercise daily).
Reduction of salt and cholestrol in the diet.
Maintain a healthy weight.
Healthy Diet and Nutrients intake to control CVD;-
Healthy food for heart:-

it includes fruits, vegetables, legumes , whole grains, low fat diary, lean protein , nuts and vegetable based oils.

Berries are best for heart health like strawberries, blackberries ,rasberries , and blueberries.

Imp Nutrients for heart health:-

like OMEGA 3;- ( obtained from fish , salmon , tuna and seed like flexseeds and chia seeds).

2-Vitamins and Minerals:- (legumes fresh fruits and vegetables are essential for vitamins).
3-Carotenoids and Fibers:-  ( red ,yellow ,and orange veggies such as carrots ,sweet potatos , red pepper, tomatoes and corn squash).
4-Potassium and Magnesium;- (oranges , catalaupes and papayas)
5-Folic Acid:-   (spinach, green leafy vegetables and whole grains).

 Targets to control CVD:-
Two of the targets directly focus on preventing and controlling CVDs according to WHO.
Target 1: Reduce global prevalence of raised blood pressure by 25% between 2010 and 2025.
Target 2: At least 50% of eligible people should receive drug therapy and counselling (including glycaemic control) to prevent heart attacks and strokes by 2025.
Achieving these targets will require significant investment in and strengthening of health systems.
WHO is currently working on increasing the normative guidance available for the management of acute coronary syndrome and stroke which will provide guidance in these important areas.

Conclusion:-
CVD is easy to treat just by seeking immediate medical care.
Take a good diet and reduce cholestrol and salt level.
Remember in every 12 min cvd claims a whole life, its not just a number it’s a life.
It could be your family member , friend or also may be its you
So just take care of your heart and join the fight againts the no 1 disease in the world.
